Why does turtles look like goku

He carries this move with him throughout a number of the Dragon Ball video games, but Dragon Ball Fusions actually goes one step further and introduces a more advanced form of the technique. In the climax of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Goku Black pulls a Hail Mary by summoning a massive time rift and trying to pull as many villains as possible forward in order to defeat Goku and Vegeta.

Before the door shuts on all of this, Turles makes an appearance and he even gets some dialogue with Goku Black. Nevertheless, it makes for one crazy battle and one of the more memorable moments from Xenoverse 2.

Certain characters only make miniscule appearances in the anime, but these video games give them new life and can help shade in their past. He certainly has enough rage for the average Super Saiyan. In order to produce its powerful fruit, the Tree of Might needs to drain all of the energy from its host planet.

Turles uses this draining process to bring warriors who are long-dead back to life. Turles pulls this off with Rasin and Lakasei, who then join his Crusher Corps. He could really put this skill to dangerous use if he was properly motivated. So obviously Turles going through the same process is going to connect just as hard, right? Do you know any other interesting facts about Dragon Ball 's Turles that we missed? Power up that scouter and sound off in the comments below!

Daniel Kurland is a freelance writer, comedian, and critic, who lives in the cultural mosaic that is Brooklyn, New York. The owls are not what they seem. By Daniel Kurland Published Jan 06, Share Share Tweet Email 0. I dont see how Bardock from the past could have influenced the genes of saiyans. Did you see any other saiyans anywhere? I am sure he didnt mate with one of those saibamen looking ancestors.

Or maybe thats how saibamen were created. Regardless, Bardock alone couldnt have started the saiyan race. The primitive saiyans must have come at some point, yes? He would have "mated" with them. The Saiyans that lived there moved to another planet and renamed it, Planet Vegeta. In the episode of Bardock, the titular character mysteriously shows up on Planet Plant which is later renamed "Planet Vegeta" after being hit by Frieza's massive energy ball.

He's clearly time traveled at least a century into the past, and when the saiyans eventually show up there, he may join them. Or perhaps he leaves, or perhaps he fights them, who's to say? It's just one possible explanation. User Info: Mitchh Turles is a movie character. In other words, he doesnt excist. And black is a kai, he aint goku. User Info: Squiderson.

Araki forgot "Real Majins have curves. Mitchh posted None of them exist, friend. Considering Bardock does, too, I assume it's because Turles is also a low-class warrior like him.

Vegeta knew he was a 'low-class warrior' at a glance, so assuming it's got something to do with race, maybe all 'low-class warriors' look like that. I mean, it would make sense as to why everybody in Goku's bloodline looks exactly like him if it was a 'low-class warrior' genetic thing, but I don't know if that's accurate.

Raditz throws that one off by not really looking like either Bardock or Goku, as he's much more physically imposing, he's got crazy hair, and he's Twitter User DBS Chronicles shared this new look at Turles in the realm of Dragon Ball Heroes , which hints that more power is on the way for the villain who looks exactly like Son Goku and has a score to settle with Vegeta following their initial fight earlier in the series:. Does that mean Cumber's hair was shorter too? Super Dragon Ball Heroes' Space-Time War Arc is promising to bring back some major heroes and villains from the past of the Shonen franchise, with fans anticipating both Cell and Gohan making return appearances.

Some media refers to Turles as being Goku's older brother, [5] while others indicate there is no relation between the two. Vegeta also states that he was a troublemaker who never learned to obey his superiors, thus implying that he was an insubordinate soldier during his time in the Saiyan Army. At some point he learned of the Fruit of the Tree of Might , a holy fruit from the Tree of Might that requires the energy of a whole planet to produce and is normally reserved for divine beings and gods such as the Core Person in the Funimation dub of Tree of Might this was changed to it being reserved for Eternal Dragons according to King Kai in the original Japanese dub and the explanation of the fruit by Old Kai in Xenoverse 2 as he states that Supreme Kais may also partake of the fruit and also implies that other deities are permitted to consume it which he somehow acquired during his travels, though how this occurred has yet to be explained.

Regardless of how he acquired it, he was able to use extract from the Tree of Might to revive two members of the extremely intelligent Beenz people from fossils, the brothers Rasin and Lakasei. The two brothers then built Turles' spaceship and the rest of their ordinance. Wanting to do as he pleased in the universe , Turles traveled around destroying planets, eating the fruits of the Tree of Might and gaining more allies.

Turles hoped to one day acquire enough power using the fruit to challenge the Galactic Emperor and his former boss, Frieza for control of the universe. The medley of ragtag thugs he gathered are called the Turles Crusher Corps. He and his men all got stronger by repeatedly planting the Tree on planets and eating its fruit. Turles' invasion allowed Amond to escape during which he meets Turles, who recruited Amond. Nearly thirty years after Planet Vegeta's destruction, Turles and his squad of henchmen make their way toward Earth to check up on the Saiyan called Kakarot.

Supplemental Daizenshuu says that since Turles knew in advance that Goku was on Earth, he might have had an interest in the famously brave Bardock and his youngest son Kakarot. Turles seeks out a planet that he would be able to plant the seed of the Tree of Might on, so he can eat the fruit and become exponentially stronger than before.

After his arrival to Earth, Turles mainly watches the battle between his men and the Z-Fighters from his spaceship. He does not appear until he sees Gohan defeating one of his men single-handedly. He muses at the kid's strength, but soon realizes that he is the son of Kakarot Goku. Gohan is shocked to find that he has almost an identical appearance to his father, and is also, in fact, a Saiyan. Turles asks him to join his team, but Gohan refuses his offer.

Piccolo soon comes to Gohan's rescue, but is defeated easily. Turles soon sees that Gohan has grown back his tail. He quickly creates a Power Ball and forces Gohan to look at it. Helpless, Gohan transforms into a Great Ape and goes on a rampage, attacking Goku. He abruptly stops when he sees his friend Icarus in the area. He stops and, thanks to his innocence, plays around with Icarus. However, Turles attacks him, provoking Gohan. To Turles' surprise, Gohan is able to control himself and specifically attack him, but before Turles is able to retaliate and kill him, Goku cuts his tail off, causing him to shrink back to normal.

Goku promises his son that he will defeat Turles. Having defeated the Z-Fighters with ease, Turles' men all attack Goku. Watching from the sidelines, Turles is ambushed by Piccolo, but is able to survive his Special Beam Cannon at point blank range, and defeats him with a single blast.

Using the Kaio-ken , Goku kills all of Turles' men with a single hit each, all of them falling at once. Much to Turles' anger, Goku's power continues to increase, and they begin their fight, during which Turles realizes that he has underestimated Goku. Eventually, Turles successfully grabs and eats one of the fruits, which causes his strength to increase dramatically. Even with the Kaio-ken x10 x20 in the Funimation dub , Goku is outmatched by Turles and nearly killed. With Goku apparently finished, Turles makes quick work of the other Z-Fighters and destroys a weak Spirit Bomb formed from what little energy remained on Earth.

He then walks underneath the Tree to gloat about his victory and eats another Fruit, growing even stronger. However, Goku gathers the energy for the next Spirit Bomb from the Tree of Might itself and confronts Turles once more. Shocked to see him still alive, Turles and Goku have a tense standoff before blasting each other simultaneously.

Empowered by all of Earth's energy, Goku's Spirit Bomb instantly overpowers Turles, carrying him up inside the Tree of Might's trunk, causing an explosion that annihilates both him and the Tree, returning all of their stolen energy to Earth. However Turles' fate was changed thanks to Fu, who collected him from the point in time where he was supposed to die - just before he was killed by the Spirit Bomb - so that Turles could work for him in Age In anticipation for his revenge against Goku, Turles ate many fruits of the Tree of Might [8] - becoming far more powerful - and was powered up by Fu.

In the anime, he and Bojack get into a scuffle when Bojack is provoked by Turles's Saiyan heritage, before Fu stops them from fighting. He catches their attention by explaining how he saved them from their past defeats at Goku and his allies' hands. At this, Turles declares he will not lose again. After a mock greeting as Goku recognizes him, he manages to get Goku into a chokehold, leaving Bojack an opportunity to attack out of revenge for the space pirate's death at his son Gohan's hands.

Turles and Bojack then proceed to power up with malicious auras similar to Cumber's and fight Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta respectively, Turles boasting about the power of the Universe Tree's fruit. When Fu catches the Saiyan duo's attention, Turles and Bojack blast them from behind for lowering their guard. Turles and Goku continue to battle until Dogidogi, under the command of Fu, flaps his wings to freeze Goku and the others in place allowing Fu to take the opportunity to capture Tokitoki and escape through a space-time distortion.

Almost immediately afterwards, unsatisfied with Fu's interference, Turles and Bojack make an exit in similar fashion. In the anime, after Cumber takes down Vegeta, he is suddenly ambushed by Turles. Turles tells Cumber that he is the strongest Saiyan thanks to continuously eating the Fruits of the Tree of Might and thereby gaining endless evil power from it.

Demanding to see his true power, Cumber attacks Turles. When Vegeta gets back to his feet, Turles hits him again into a wall. However Vegeta manages to overcome the corruption, making that power his own. Vegeta easily takes down Turles telling him to train and come back if he has any Saiyan pride left in him.

Turles replies that if it means that he will become a low-class Saiyan again, then he is fine with that. Turles interrupted the Crimson-Masked Saiyan 's attempt to kill Goku, Vegeta, Cumber, Cell and Hearts by blasting him from the side, his pride reinvigorated as he tells Crimson not to underestimate Saiyan power. Crimson then prepares to blast him into oblivion, but Turles only faces death with a smile as the blast reaches him, disappearing with the explosion. In the manga, Turles interrupts Cumber's fight with Vegeta by demonstrating his own Evil Saiyan state to clash evenly with the ancient Saiyan.

In the battle, Turles fights against Gohan and is being beaten by the young half-Saiyan until the pollution caused by the gas weakens Gohan and the other Z Fighters. Turles prepares a combined energy wave attack with the other Ghost Warriors , and they are about to finish the Z Fighters when Bulma appears and shuts down the Destron Gas generator.

She then hands Turles and Lord Slug Fruit of the Tree of Might that had been amplified by the effects of the Demon Realm , granting whomever consumes it incredible power beyond compare. Pleased, Turles vows to crush Kakarot with a single blow. They leave however Mira questions their loyalty and says Towa should reprogram them as she did with the Masked Saiyan, however, Towa counters saying they are a fine job altering history on their own and that she has everything well in hand.
